2012 (51st) Games Report
Even the torrential rain didn't really spoil the fun and entertainment at the 51st Games - there was a variety of events including the RSPBA Pipe Band Content, Heavyweight Athletics, Junior Sports and Highland Dancing. Birds of Prey and Archery were two new additions to the line up this year. The beer tent was as busy as ever and a great night was had by all at the annual ceilidh which this year was held in 'The Street' within Lesmahagow High School. The Highland Games Committee would like to thank the Tartan Queen, Princesses, and Clansmen along with their families for making such an effort - they all looked fantastic, and performed their official duties admirably! To Chieftain Robert Lawson, our thanks also for your support not only as our Chieftain this year but also over the many years you have been involved with the bands - you did a splendid job! Thanks to all our competitors, across all the events - please come back next year, we promise it will be sunny! And lastly, a big thanks to everyone who turned out to watch the 51st Games, we hope to see you all again next year
